Bhavanisagar Dam or Lower Bhavani Dam, is located in Erode district, Tamil Nadu, India. The dam is constructed on the Bhavani river.It is one of the worlds largest Earthen Dam. The dam is situated some 16 km (9.9 mi) west of Sathyamangalam, is 35 km. The Bhavani River creates the Bhavanisagar Reservoir, which is in Bhavanisagar District in Tamil Nadu.

For a spot of activity, you could check out the small channel where you can indulge in some boating. The gleaming waters of the reservoir make for a picturesque and soothing sight.
