The Rajiv Gandhi Memorial

The Rajiv Gandhi Memorial is a memorial to Indian prime minister Rajiv Gandhi at the site where he was assassinated at Sriperumbudur, India.

The Rajiv Gandhi Memorial is a memorial located in Sriperumbudur District of Tamilnadu state, to commemorate the death of former Indian Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi. The town was the place where Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated in a bomb blast in 1991. He was killed at this place by the LTTE using a human suicide bomber while campaigning for the local Loksabha candidate. Rajiv Gandhi is the former Prime Minister of India (1984 – 1989).
The bases of the pillars have a variety of quotes from Rajiv Gandhi etched on them and each pillar has distinct carvings of its own. On the southern part of the memorial, relief works have been fashioned on a grey granite stone wall which illustrates India’s civilization and its transformation from early time to contemporary times. ‘The Path of Light’ at the memorial portrays the final steps that were taken by Rajiv Gandhi.

M.G.R. Memorial House

The MGR Memorial house is situated in Arcot Street, T.Nagar and was opened for public viewing in 1990 by Mrs.JanakiRamachandran in the presence of Dr.N.C.Raghavachari, Shri.N.P.V.Ramasamy Udayar and the well wishers of Late.Dr.MGR. This house in Chennai was the official residence of Late Dr.MGR and was used by him for more than two decades. This house is open for public viewing from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on all days except Tuesdays.
MGR Memorial House has a rich assortment of memorabilia associated with the actor-politician. There are swords, spears and clubs, as also his plate and glass, his telephone, shirts that he wore, his books and medals that he won. Then there’s the camera and trolley and even the cloth bandage that was tied on him when he was shot! There are photographs, letters etc. Not to forget his famous cap and dark glasses that were so much a part of his persona.

MGR memorial is a memorial structure

MGR memorial is a memorial structure built on the Marina beach in Chennai, India. It was built in memory of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M. G. Ramachandran.

Valluvar Kottam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Valluvar Kottam is a popular monument in Chennai, dedicated to the classical Tamil poet, philosopher, and saint, Thiruvalluvar. It is located at the intersection of the Kodambakkam High road and the Village road.

Thirukkural about 2000 years ago. Valluvar Kottam is at the busy intersection of the Kodambakkam High Road and the Village Road. Its massive auditorium is supposedly the biggest in Asia and can hold approximately 4000 people.

Mahatma Gandhi Memorial is a monument to honor the father of the nation — Mahatma Gandhi, who played a pivotal role in India’s freedom struggle. 

Kanyakumari has been associated with great people like Gandhiji and Swami Vivekananda — both of who have memorials in this town. 

Mahatma Gandhi who had visited Kanyakumari in 1925 and 1937. It is constructedat a place on the seashore, near to Kumari Amman Temple, where his ashes were kept for public darshan before immersion in the sea on February 12, 1948. The Mandapam is built in Orrisa style of architecture and designed in such a way that on his birthday, 2 October, the rays of the sun, through a hole on the roof, falls exactly on the place where the urn was kept.
