Shakthan Thampuran Palace is situated in City of Thrissur in Kerala state, India. It is named as Vadakkekara Palace, was reconstructed in Kerala-Dutch style in 1795 by Ramavarma Thampuran of the erstwhile
the renowned Vadakkumnatha Temple. The palace is also known as Vadakkekara. In 1795, the Palace was rebuilt in the distinctive Kerala-Dutch style of architecture by Ramavarma Thampuran and Sakthan Thampuran (considered the most distinguished ruler of the Cochin dynasty).
