Aruvikkara is a village in Thiruvananthapuram district in the state of Kerala, India. It is located on the banks of the Karamana River 15 km from Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of the state of Kerala in South India. The reservoir and garden makes it a tourist spot.
The beach resort here is internationally renowned and has attracted tourists since the 1930s. The dam derives its name from Aruvikkara village in Thiruvananthapuram District, Kerala. The village is also known for its famous Bhagavathy Temple.
