The Koyikkal Palace is a palace situated in Nedumangadu, Thiruvananthapuram District, Kerala in South India. The palace was built in 16th century for Umayamma Rani of the Venad Royal Family.
Koyikkal Palace is today home to a Folklore Museum and a Numismatics Museum set up by the Department of Archaeology. The Folklore Museum, which was set up in 1992, is a treasure trove of old-fashioned musical instruments, implements, household utensils, models of folk arts and more. The Numismatics Museum has the distinction of being the only one of its kind in Kerala, and has a rich and priceless collection of coins, many of them very rare.
